Induction Case Hardening

Induction case hardened steel has the characteristic of a hard outer surface with a softer inner core. As the flux field heats from the surface of the part case, penetration is controlled by a combination of power, time, and frequency (kHz) of the induction heater. The induction heater is selected based on the specified case depths, surface area, and material of the part. We can produce case of .01 to .75 inches deep.
